The latest update for your OFS3 flight controller is here! This firmware adds exciting new features which expand OFS3’s capabilities, improving the performance and reliability of your OMPHOBBY M2 further.

🛟 Rescue Mode Support 🛟

We are proud to finally introduce the most requested feature ever: A fully featured, collective assisted RESCUE MODE for your OMPHOBBY M2 helicopter! OFS3 is now capable of tracking the absolute attitude of the helicopter through full, sustained 3D flight, thanks to a new, incredibly robust data-fusion algorithm, which is an industry first. No matter when you activate Rescue Mode, OFS3 will always return the helicopter to level flight, while flying it away from the ground and handing it back to the pilot in a controlled manner once the rescue auto-sequence is completed. 

Rescue Mode is currently classified as an EXPERIMENTAL feature, should be used at the pilot’s own risk and may be subject to change in the future. 

Rescue Mode is available FOR FREE without limitations for every user of OFS3, both for existing and future OFS3 units.

🎮 FrSky F.Port Support 🎮 

With firmware 13.95, OFS3 can now be flown using the FrSky F.Port receiver protocol with full telemetry support, for both FrSky and MULTI-Module transmitters. This brings OFS3’s telemetry capabilities to more users than ever before, including everyone who purchased an OMPHOBBY RTF set with a 4-in-1 or CC2500 transmitter. Simply add a compatible receiver and enjoy full telemetry return!

🧑‍🔬 Bug Fixes and Improvements 🧑‍🔬

Firmware 13.95 improves DSM protocol robustness, improves the TALY algorithm further and has various small fixes and improvements to improve your OFS3 experience.

Understanding how these new features work is essential for successful and safe operation. Using Rescue Mode and FrSky F.Port without reading the documentation first may potentially lead to hazardous situations. Rescue Mode is an experimental feature at this time. Use at your own risk!

An update of the OMPHOBBY smartphone app is required to enable Rescue Mode on your flight controller. Updated apps have been submitted to both Apple and Google. If the update isn't available in your region at the time of reading this post, please check back a bit later.
